Choosing the right balance of food, being more active and giving up unhealthy habits are the most obvious things we can do to prevent or reduce the number of unhealthy years we live with long term disabling health problems. You may have some habits that are keeping you from experiencing optimum health and raising your risks of disease. You may not be able to give it up no matter how much harm it is causing. This is not because of many chronic diseases are growing at an alarming rate but because they are now appearing earlier in life and threatening to effect children.
